Necedah National Wildlife Refuge

Just four miles west of the Village of Necedah lies the Necedah National Wildlife Refuge.  Best known for its Whooping Crane habitat, the Refuge is filled with wildlife including beavers, porcupines, white-tailed deer, foxes, timber wolves, Karner blue butterflies, Blanding’s turtles, gray wolves and black bear. It's open year round with five established trails, several observation decks, boardwalk trails, and roads to provide opportunties for all to enjoy nature.

Visit this Sunday from 7PM to 9PM you can learn frog calls and enjoy an evening hike.
